StratEQ turns your budget, debts, savings and net worth into a plain-English verdict. Doing that well means being straight with you about data. This page says, in plain language, what we collect, what we don't, and what your rights are. It applies to the StratEQ app and website at strateq.app.

The short version: the financial numbers you type into StratEQ are stored on your own device, not on our servers. Your account with us is just your email, your name if you gave one, and which plan you're on. We don't sell data, we don't run ads, and we don't use tracking analytics.

How long we keep things

Account details are kept while your account exists. Delete your account and they go with it. The numbers stored on your device are yours — clearing your browser data or signing out of a device removes them from that device. Waitlist emails are kept until you unsubscribe or we retire the list.

Your rights

We hold ourselves to POPIA (South Africa) and GDPR-grade standards regardless of where you live. You can:

Security

Connections are encrypted (HTTPS), passwords are hashed — never stored readable — and database access is locked down so accounts can only read their own records. No system is perfect, but we keep the amount of data we hold deliberately small: the less we have, the less there is to protect.

Children

StratEQ isn't directed at children under 18, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll say so plainly on this page and, for significant changes, tell account holders by email. We won't quietly move the goalposts.
